Excellent museum on rural Missouri. The exhibits and interactives were great. Very cheap admission. Takes about an hour to go through and I did a lot of reading. Very cool museum, well worth the trip from neighboring cities. I recommend stopping at Diner 71 afterwards for lunch or dinner.
Interning at the Andrew County Museum completely opened my eyes to the wonderful people and exhibits it has to offer. I was, like many, pleasantly surprised upon learning how professional and detailed a small county museum could be. It's really quite a hidden gem!
It's really a remarkable and well-done look into the history of Andrew County. A must see for anyone who has family roots in Andrew County.
I'm impressed! This museum was not what I expected at all... Being in a small town in a rural community I expected the exhibits to have poorly printed descriptions and a handful of boring items. Instead I found exceptionally well-designed displays and exhibits that continued to draw my attention from one to the next! The moment you walk in the door you will be hooked! Excellent place to take a family.
A great way to look back at the rural way of living. This museum is a great stop for families and other visitors. Well worth the time if your are traveling to this area.
